What Happens When You Experience Health Problems?

When you don’t feel well, you ask around and you Google your issue in search of answers, right? Then you go to the doctor with a hope to feel better.

Many times it works great and is truly life-saving.

But there are also those other times, when you end up bouncing between different, well-meaning doctors and health practitioners with your problem being the same or worse. So, you Google more, maybe try a new diet and some home remedies. Still no improvement.

More Googling, you feel information overload and getting stuck in contradictions. And you’re still feeling ‘not that great’.

You are frustrated, confused and overwhelmed. All the things you loved and wanted to do go to the back burner because ‘nothing seems to work’.

All you want is to feel like yourself again. You’d give anything for the right support and clear guidance on how to be well again.

Why is this the case? What’s missing here?

Maybe you’re not getting better because typical approaches to wellbeing and health:

  • Focus ONLY on the symptom relief, a quick fix to feel immediately better without looking at the root cause of your problem. While this is great in the short run and sometimes certainly works, in the long run it can create even more dysfunction and chronic dis-ease.
  • Look at the body as isolated systems instead of integral parts of a bigger whole.
  • Have other interests above your well-being (insurance billing, time constraints, etc.)
  • Don’t inquire about what truly is going on for YOU. Instead, they use overly generalized protocols for “conditions” and focus on what is good for the majority.
  • After the first visit, provide no, or little ongoing support and make it difficult to follow up.
  • Dismiss the possible combined effect of imbalance drivers such as diet, exercise, toxins, infections, mindset and other daily habits like sleep, relationships and the way you relax, or your feeling of purpose.
  • Often play your symptoms down and relegate them to “getting old”.
  • Lack empowering and action-inspiring education and leave you totally on your own.
